Prof New braunfels Concert reviews
Blues Traveler and Lewis Black...so far so good
Lewis Black, as good or better than I've ever seen him, was fabulous. The headliner reasons to attend this show are flawless, Prof never disappoints, consummate musicians, quality sound, lots of energy. Black was fabulous. It was just noise; most of the crowd grew very impatient for this bit to end. The stage setup didn't give Lewis Black anyplace to perform from; he was squeezed in between piles of tarped-over music equipment, you wouldn't have noticed him on stage if it weren't for his powerful voice and delivery. But then, there were the mistakes made by the venue and the awful performance by Joe Lewis. Either the venue never did a sound check for Joe Lewis, or he's got a new band and they'd never played together before that night. Abominable. That may be the last outdoor 'rain or shine' event I buy tickets for, the second time this summer to be rained on and to decide for myself whether to endure sitting in the rain or lose the money spent for what should have been a first-class event.
